There are 5 criteria to choose a product to sell on Amazon.
Selling price should be 500 ₹ and 1500 ₹
Q: Why shouldn’t it be less than 500?
A: If it is less than that, our margin will be too less. Our price should accommodate our margin, courier charge, amazon commission, tax etc.
Q: Why shouldn’t it be more than 1500?
A: If user feel like it is an investment or an expensive purchase, they will not click the buy button unless they have done enough research and alternative. So if we are providing products more than 1500 it should be top notch for us to survive.
1500 ₹ is a price where people don’t complain much and most of them afford to lose.
Number of reviews should be less than 500
Because of 2 reasons.
- If the alternative product is having less reviews and they are making enough sales, then it signals that we can also make good money with that kind of product. Because we are also gonna start with 0 reviews.
- If our competitor product is have plenty of review, naturally . the traffic is gonna favor them. In short it is hard to compete with them
Weight should be less than 1 KG
If it is more than 1 kilo, it would cost the delivery charge more. Thus decreasing our margin.
